Today is a very special day. I bet why you are wondering about this special day now. Let me start by tell you that my esteemed colleague, Bryan Mathews, loves penguins. His mother told me a story that he couldn’t pronounce the word penguin, so he would say “peanut” instead. I dedicate this short but sweet blog to Bryan and his “peanuts.”
Now I will tell you why today is so special. It’s National Penguin Awareness Day! I hope all of you take the time to think about your favorite penguins. The penguins that have touched you in some sort of way.
Now I will put some videos and pictures of our favorite penguins.
Im Bryan! Im a senior secondary education major and a seasoned veteran of this whole college thing. I have a pretty good grasp on how much actual work iI have to do to just get by. Brock and I have been best friends a roommates for the last 3 years of our lives, that’s 21 in dog years. We pretty much have this whole town figured out head to toe. We have wanted to start a blog for a while but have never had the initiative or real know how to start one up. Well one day, while I was reading the O’Colly in class i saw an ad in the classifieds saying “Bloggers wanted”. I approached Brock with the idea that evening. He thought it was a great idea as well! W then went into the O’Colly’s office, and here we are today. This blog will be designed to give all our GREAT readers a look at the culture of Oklahoma State University in glorious Stillwater, Oklahoma but with our twist on things. Some things we say might offend, some things might be taken as stupid, and most things will be genius but we will say all them anyway. Our goal isn’t to piss anyone off or pick on anybody. Our goal is to make college and life in “Thrillwater” bearable for you all. We roam campus just as y’all do, we see the same things you see, and we probably say the same things y’all say, but we just have a forum to say it on and shout it out loud. So, tell your friends, family, professors, lovers, haters, and pets with internet access to stay on their lazy butts and read our unbelievably poor written blog because if they don’t a puppy dies every time… Just playing no puppies will die! I look forward to blowing every ones mind all over their faces this year!
Well hello there Miss Lady,
My name is Brock Colombin. Some of you might know me but most of you probably do not. For those of you who do not, I will give you a quick run down. I am an English major. Well for now I am. I actually plan on trying to ease my way into dental school one day. You’re probably wondering why I am an English major. The answer is a simple “I don’t really know.” Anyway, as Bryan said, we aren’t here to call anyone out. Unless you wear Affliction or you are our very loud upstairs neighbors. Who I think might be either Vikings or horse people judging by the way they stomp around. Our blog will cover many things over our tenure with the O’Colly or as we like to call it, “The Daily O’Hooligan.” I hope that you all continue to read and be satisfied. That’s about all I have to say for now. You stay classy World Wide Web.
Here’s a quick picture of us. I’m on the left.
